Creating a Minimalist Morning Routine That Actually Sticks
The best morning routines do not rely on willpower or looks for Instagram. They are designed to really help you.
After years of abandoned morning routines, I’ve learned that simplicity creates consistency. Start with just three non-negotiable activities that align with your values. For me, it’s ten minutes of meditation, a glass of water, and writing three intentions for the day—all before checking my phone.
Your main job is to find your “minimum viable routine.” What is the simplest version you can follow, even on hard days? This becomes your foundation.
Build in flexibility by having alternatives for each component. If meditation feels impossible, have a one-minute breathing exercise ready instead.
A minimalist routine isn’t just about doing less. It’s about creating time for what matters most to you each day.
What three elements would form your minimum viable morning?
In the future I will make a detailed post about what’s working out for me since 2023
